What we do
We sell decorative lighting for the whole house and deliver it across New Zealand. Chandeliers, pendants, ceiling and wall lights, bathroom vanity bars, and a solar and festoon range for outside. Everything is bought online and shipped to you; there is no showroom and never has been, which is part of why the prices sit where they do.
Good lighting is not something you can see, it is something you feel. That is the whole reason this shop exists, and it is why every page here tells you the dimensions, the bulb base and the colour temperature rather than adjectives about ambience.
How we work
Orders are picked and packed within 24 to 48 hours and delivered in 5 to 7 days across New Zealand. Delivery is free on orders of $100 or more and a flat $30 below it. You get a receipt when you pay and a tracking number when it ships.
Most of the range is hardwired: pendants, chandeliers, wall sconces and vanity bars all connect to mains wiring, and in New Zealand that is a licensed electrician's job. The solar and plug-in outdoor range is the part you can install yourself in an afternoon, and every product page says which it is.

Modern Light Company is a division of Caruso Consulting Co Ltd, with its corporate office at Suite 36, 47 Moo 1, T. Nawoong, Mueang, Phetchaburi 76000, Thailand.
Do I need an electrician for what you sell?
For most of it, yes. Chandeliers, pendants, ceiling lights, wall sconces and vanity bars are all hardwired, and mains wiring in New Zealand is licensed work. The solar and plug-in outdoor range needs no wiring at all.
Where do you deliver?
Right across New Zealand, including Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Hamilton, Tauranga, Dunedin and Nelson.
How much is delivery?
Free on orders of $100 or more, and a flat $30 in NZD below that. Five to seven days, after a 24 to 48 hour handling time.
Are your prices in New Zealand dollars?
Yes, and every price already is shown in NZD.
